Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 12, 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the service.
2. How we use cookies
2.1 Essential cookies (always active)
These are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Authentication session (Supabase) | Session / 1 year |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | OAuth PKCE verification | Session |
2.2 Functional cookies (with consent)
These remember your preferences and improve your experience.
| Cookie / Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| onboarding_wizard_dismissed_at | Remember if you dismissed the setup wizard | 3 days |
| guide_*_seen | Remember which help guides you've seen | Persistent |
| pending_referral_code | Track referral attribution during signup | Session |
| cookie_consent | Remember your cookie preferences | 1 year |
2.3 Analytics cookies (with consent)
We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies. All analytics are processed server-side without client-side tracking scripts. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The only external services that may set cookies are:
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies for authentication purposes.
- Supabase: Authentication cookies for session management.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through:
- Our cookie banner: When you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
Browser-specific instructions:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy > Cookies
5. Local storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser localStorage to store non-sensitive preferences (dismissed guides, referral codes). localStorage data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones are used. Material changes will be communicated through the cookie banner or email.
